Location: Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC) - Portsmouth, Virginia
Principle duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Qualifications:
o Bachelor of Science in Physical Science preferred
o Ability to perform all tasks required for accessioning of forensic specimens for analysis in support of drugs of abuse testing
o Experience in a clinical lab setting preferred
o Experience with immunochemistry analyzers, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), and liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MSMS) for analysis of forensic specimens in support of drugs of abuse testing.
o Demonstrate competence in oral and written communication
o Must be organized, attentive to detail, and posses a positive, friendly and professional demeanor
o Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner
o Computer skills including at least intermediate level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office Software
o Strong data management and processing skills
o Knowledge of Military Operational Planning, the Military Health System and the Military Medical Logistics System preferred
o Experience in performing complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests desired
o Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations
Responsibilities:
o Evaluation of material and specimen submissions received from supported sites (with subject PII removed) for acceptability and preparation for forensic testing.
o Maintain and promote Geneva's core values of Integrity, Superior Service to Customers, Quality, Teamwork, Innovation, and Respect for All
o Possess a working knowledge of The Geneva Foundation's Employee Handbook, User's Guide and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as applicable
o Remain accessible and accountable at all times during work hours and collects messages at least twice daily
o Return telephone messages within 24 hours of receipt; return email messages in a timely manner as appropriate
o Comply with the dress code of The Geneva Foundation and assigned duty station
o Promote positive, professional relationships with co-workers and The Geneva FoundationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
