Fire Watch Supervisor

Responsible for managing vessel operations to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Provide support to the project by maintaining a visible presence to the field performing site visits.
Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of Fire Watch safety programs and protocols.
Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and standards, to ensure compliance.
Develop a site safety management plan for the project to ensure a safe work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors; regularly audit the plan
Provide direction, support and resource for all site staff.
Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately. Participate and assist with investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary. Ensure correction actions are followed up on and completed.
Ensure injured workers are offered modified duties and documentation is completed. Monitor and follow up on modified workers at the site.
Ensure field staff training and competencies for compliance.
Ensure safety boards with postings are current.
Ensure manuals, regulations, site safety inspection forms, observation forms, log books and plans are available onsite.
Communicate, coach and assist field staff to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met.
Coordinate a regular meeting with field staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years relevant Health and Safety experience; minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state.
High School Diploma or GED.
Occupational Health and Safety degree, diploma or certificate is an asset.
May be required to obtain and maintain a valid DoD Confidential Security Clearance in order to obtain a Red NAVSEA Badge.

Good physical condition.
Ability to travel.
Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license, and be insurable by the company's insurance carrier.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
