MedTrust is accepting applications for an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) PRN position for the Birthing Center (Post Partum) Unit at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA.

This is for Registered Nurses only with at least 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Come work in a great environment with some of the most elite health care professionals the military has to offer while doing what you love.

Typical shifts may be scheduled for an 8.5 hour shift during the hours of 0630 to 1800, Monday through Sunday. There is no on-call or nights with a minimum of 2 shifts per month.
If you meet these
Qualifications:
Possess an active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate's degree in Nursing or a Diploma from a Nursing Program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
Possess a minimum experience of 1 year within the last two years as an RN working in a Post Partum
Possess and maintain certification as a Lactation Consultant as determined by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE).
Possess a BLS and PALS certification from an American Heart Association program
Ability to pass a Government background investigation
