SETTING:
Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) Department
THE PRIMARY ROLE:
Perform a full range of clinical psychologist procedures in accordance with clinical privileges granted by the commanding officer.
Administer programs of treatment to mentally and emotionally disturbed individual adjustments to life; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
Assist in treating rehabilitation patients.
Treat individuals in times of personal crisis such as a divorce or death of a loved one.
Interview patients and study medical and social case histories.
Diagnose and evaluate mental and emotional disorders of individuals and administer programs of treatment.
Perform Mental Health screenings in association with the DD Form 2900 and other deployment related assessments and evaluations when required. And when requested, assess the results, treat patients, and refer patients for further treatment as appropriate.
Provide consultation, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning for all disorders defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders to adults.
TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university.
Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Have experience as a Clinical Psychologist of at least 2 years within the preceding 3 years.
Provide two letters of recommendation written within the last two years attesting to the HCW's clinical skills. A minimum of one letter must be from a supervisor. Reference letters must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing reference.
WORKING HOURS:
40 hr. work week / Services shall be provided Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30am and 5:00pm. Services may be rotated between the staff Psychologists, for evening and weekend shifts, once every 6 weeks if required. Evening shift hours are 1:30pm to 10:00pm; Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) shift hours are 6:30am to 5:00pm

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
