Under direct supervision, the SA-ASSOC maintains integrity of the operating system environment. They perform system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination. The SA-ASSOC''s perform workstation and server administration setup. They coordinate disk space planning and management. The SA-ASSOC maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories and performs data backups and recoveries. They monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. The SA-ASSOC provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting. The SA-ASSOC maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control
Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.
Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).
Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.
Provides technical support and training to end-users.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
1-3 years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations.
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret-level security clearance
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
MCITP certification
DoD 8570.01 IAT-II (or higher) certification to start.
