Requirements (duties include but are not limited to)
  • Provide clinical services within the MTF Diagnostic Imaging departments, providing outpatient and inpatient consultative imaging services, to include the imaging requirements of critically ill patients in the medical and surgical intensive care units.
  • Shall receive technical guidance and direction from the Radiology Medical Director, Radiology Flight Commander or designated Government personnel.
  • Routine Diagnostic Examination - Shall be prepared and capable of interpreting and/or performing any necessary routine procedures.
  • Shall submit Diagnostic Radiology Reports in the patients' medical record for the assigned clinical service on a daily basis throughout the life of the contract.
  • Academic Duties - Shall fully participate in the Phase I and Phase II training programs of the MTF, as well as the education of any residents, Physician Assistant students, medical students, etc. This participation may include the preparation and delivery of formal lecture presentations, daily teaching, participation in formal or informal feedback, and in-person resident/staff consultations.
  • Resident/Student Association - Shall co-sign all examination reports produced by the any Radiology Residents working under the Radiologist.
  • Didactic Instruction - May be assigned responsibility to participate in the formal didactic program involving presentation of lecture material and giving case conference to residents or students on a recurring basis.
  • Shall provide special quality assurance studies, no more than four per year, and participate in peer review activities, as directed by the Radiology Medical Director, Radiology Flight Commander or designated Government personnel.
Qualifications
  • Must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) who has completed an internship and residency in an accredited United States Diagnostic Radiology Training Program.
  • Must have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
  • Must be board certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR). Additional fellowship training, such as in neuroradiology, abdominal imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, cardiothoracic imaging, or similar is desirable but not required.
  • Shall have experience in performing the full scope of general diagnostic radiology to include performance of examinations/procedures and interpretation of same in the areas of plain Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Ultrasonography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computerized Tomography, Nuclear Medicine and image guided procedures including biopsies and diagnostic and therapeutic arthrograms and injections through on site or Teleradiology means. From any of the above examination/procedure combinations shall be able to accomplish a minimum of 10,000-12,500 diagnostic examination/procedures per year.
  • Must have the qualifications, accreditations and experience to practice mammography which includes personnel qualifications set forth by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration under the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
  • Must have and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as approved by the American Heart Association. Might also require certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or other certifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
