CTR Group is seeking Senior Marine Engineers / Marine Designers in Portsmouth, Virginia area for Shipyard projects!


Summary:


For CVN 68 or LHD Class General Arrangements - Code 254, this candidate shall provide full time engineering support to provide design services for General Arrangements/ Structure which includes hull outfitting, habitability and stowage. This code is responsible for all berthing, sanitary and other living spaces, all galleys, mess decks and other food service spaces, all workshops, offices, storerooms and magazines.


JOB DUTIES:


  • Provide design and engineering support of systems supported by NNSY Code 254 listed above.
  • Develop from cradle to grave engineering drawings using AUTOCAD.
  • Drawing must be technically complete and accurate and should be ready for issue with a minimum of Government review. All drawings shall conform and/or incorporate the IDEA Manual, ISID (Intelligent Ship Installation Drawing), GSO (General Specifications for Overhaul), NSTM (Naval Ship Technical Manuals), SCD (Ship Change Document), weight and moment calculations, space arrangements, shock requirements, damage control, safety and environmental considerations, all technical interfaces including system or component testing requirements.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
