LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW) SITE OF SERVICE:
The primary site of service will be located in the Mental Health, Psychiatry and Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) Departments.
The work assignments may be at the main hospital, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP), the Branch Health Clinics to include the TPC Clinics or other approved buildings on the same installation.
Areas may be NMCP, Boone Branch Health Clinic (BHC) (or bldgs.
also located on JEB Little Creek/Ft.
Story Installation), Dam Neck Annex BHC, Tricare Prime Clinic (TPC) Virginia Beach, TPC Chesapeake, Naval Station Norfolk, Oceana Naval Air Station.
Full Time Position POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Degree:
Master's degree of Social Work (M.
S.
W).
Education:
Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Experience:
Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of full-time post-licensure experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker within the preceding four (4) years.
The two (2) qualifying years must have consisted of no less than eighty percent (80 %) of the clinicians practice time being spent in the provision of in-depth mental health diagnostic evaluations and evidenced based psychotherapy (i.
e.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), etc.
) Licensure:
Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or the U.

Citizenship:
Shall be a U.

citizen English Language Requirement:
Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
Physical Capability:
Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
HOURS:
Services shall be provided Monday through Sunday.
The SARP Program provide full time residential treatment services twenty-four (24) hours a day.
Typical shifts are as follows:
Day Shifts 0730 to 1600 hours; Evening Shifts 1430 to 2300 hours; and Night Shift 2300 to 0730 hours.
Shifts will normally be scheduled for an eight and half (8.
5) to nine (9) hour period, to include an uncompensated thirty (30) minute to sixty (60) minute meal break.
In no instance will services be required in excess of eighty (80) hours per two-week period.
