Requirements:
A current primary certification and registration as a Sonographer from the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S-ARRT).
OR
A current post-primary certification and registration as a Sonographer as determined
by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S-ARRT).
OR
A current certification and registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer as
determined by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS-ARDMS).
Possess American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or
American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved continuing medical
education of at least 12 hours within the last 12 months.
Experience as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer of at least two (2) years within the
preceding four (4) years.
Experience with 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, Colorflow, Bubble Study, and contrast
media. Experience must have been obtained following completion of a program in
Echocardiography accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education
Programs (CAAHEP). (The experience can be conveyed through transcripts, resumes,
publications, letters of recommendation, etc.)
Must be U.S. Citizen.
Duties:
Prepare patients for tests and explain procedures to obtain patient cooperation and
reassure patient.
Perform complete echocardiographic examinations: transthoracic adult
echocardiogram, dobutamine and stress echocardiogram, and transesophageal echocardiogram.
Alert the physician to acute findings that will require emergent interventions.
Provide preliminary test results to the physician.
Prepare and type final echocardiogram reports for verification.
Start date:
As soon as possible pending Federal Security Clearance process completion (typically 4-6 weeks after initiation)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

8 - Hour Shift
7:00 AM, 3:30 PM
Ability to commute:
Reliably transportation is required and expected for commuting to and from the work site.
